Description

Mourning slide. Gold, silk, paste crystal. Oval, containing, under faceted paste crystal, the upper part of a skeleton flanked by two cherubs with trumpets. Below is a tablet with the words COME YE BLESSED. The scene is surrounded by a looped border of copper-coloured thread, all set on background of pale brown silk. On the back is inscribed 'J Figfall/Obt 18 : mar./98 ceta: 57'.
