Cream stoneware, thrown. Of slightly flattened cylindrical form tapering inwards slightly towards the base. The exterior is decorated with fine vertical lines, stopping short of the rim, which are incised into the body and filled with mauve-brown pigment. The interior has a fine pattern of vertical lines incised through a covering of manganese-brown pigment to reveal the cream body beneath. The circular recessed base has a radiating pattern of fine lines similarly executed. The surface is matt and unglazed
