Production: Barker, Thomas (Barker of Bath) (Probably)
Red stoneware with mould-applied sprigs. Cylindrical with shallow, curved shoulder, straight upward slanting spout, roll loop handle, and flat circular lid with a pierced ball knob. On each side is a man carrying a bird perched in a hoop at the end of a long staff followed by a woman with a parasol. The figures are enclosed in a framework of prunus-blossom and rococo scrolls, and there is similar ornament on the lid.

The applied sprigs match those on sherds found on the site of the Foley Pottery and it was possibly made by Thomas Barker who occupied a factory nearby in Fenton.
