Box containing twelve trenchers
Production: Unknown
Circular box of wood, containing twelve trenchers. The outside of the lid bears remnants of painted decoration in black, red and white, of the Royal Arms, almost entire effaced and the motto 'Diev et Mon/Droyt'.
Inside are twelve roundels, each decorated on one side in black, red, off-white, brownish-green and gold leaf. Each is inscribed with a posy and biblical inscriptions, with fruit flowers, and an outer border, the same on each. Some have strapwork
