Brushpot. Hard-paste porcelain painted in black, iron-red, turquoise, yellow, aubergine, blue and two green enamels enhanced with gilding. The straight sides are resting on a low platform of shaped bracket outline painted in black. Each side has a shaped rectangular panel pierced with a different diaper-pattern, centred alternately with rectangular plaques showing vases and circular landdscape medallions; these are reserved against a black ground between a variety of elaborate diaper borders. The galleried rim has a flat top and is painted with a key-fret band in iron-red.
