Vase of mosque-lamp form, of pale brownish-green glass, painted in pale polychrome enamels with two small exotic birds amidst stylized scrolling foliage and flowers against a background of fine gold scrolls.
Vase. Pale brownish-green glass, blown, with applied lugs. Painted in pale shades of blue, green, pink mauve, and orange, red, and white enamels, and gilt. Of mosque lamp form, with four elongated lugs on the sloping shoulders, standing on a low circular foot. The neck, and the four areas between the lugs are decorated with scrolling stems of stylized foliage and flowers, amidst which on two areas of the body is an exotic bird. The background of the neck and body, and the top of the foot are decorated with fine gold scrolls, and there is a broad gold band round the edge of the foot, anda narrower band round the top edge of the mouth.
