Fruit wood; the round bowl carved with the Nativity on the front and the Annunciation on the back
Fruit wood; the round bowl and handle are carved all over with religious subjects and figures. The interior of the bowl depicts the Nativity; the back of the bowl depicts the Annunciation, all within inscribed borders. The handle depicts a naked figure carrying a cross possibly representing a young John the Baptist, the crowned Virgin Mary and Child, and the finial is in the form of a boy, possibly Christ, holding a hammer and nails.
