Bone china, decorated with reliefs reserved in a pale blue ground, flower-painting in polychrome enamels, and gilding
Parrot Bone china, press-moulded with reliefs reserved in a pale blue ground, painting in yellow, green, rose pink, red, purple, and greenish-brown enamels, and gilding. Circular with an alternately long and short arcs round the edge, slightly concave rim, and shallow curved well, standing on a footring. Slightly off centre there is a purple and yellow parrot tulip with a leaf, and a stem with two rose buds. The rim has three raised white floral sprays reserved in a pale blue ground alternating with three polychrome enamel sprays: a red tulip, a yellow ranunculus and a bud, and a stem with two purple flowers and a bud, perhaps astor. A narrow gold band runs round the inner edge and a broader gold band runs round the outer edge. The base is painted in red enamel ‘SPODE/2004’.

This design was introduced in 1813 or 1814 and remained popular for many years. The Trelissick service was dated to c. 1825 when sold by Bonham's in 2013
