Description

Soft-paste porcelain plate, decorated with a green ground on the rim, and painted in enamels with a central gardening trophy, and on the rim with three floral reserves framed and linked by gilding.

Soft-paste porcelain, moulded, and decorated with a green ground, painting in blue, green, yellow, dark pink, mauve, pale greey, and brown enamels, and gilding Circular with gently sloping rim and shallow well. There is a suspension hole in the footring.The well has a white ground painted in polychrome with a gardening trophy comprising a basket, a cornemuse and a watering can tied with pink ribbon; a bird's nest and two doves; a spade, rake and a hoe or houlette tied with blue ribbon; a gourd, sprays of oak and olive leaves and a garland of flowers and foliage. The border has a green ground with three round-ended rectangular reserves, each framed by a gilt band, and painted with a spray of polychrome flowers and foliage. The reserves are linked by three swags of flowers with gilt crossed palms over the central one. There are gold bands round the inner and outer edges of the rim.
